it's done by accident

 

I believe that good design should be almost invisible. Good design is in the details. Good design is emotional, and makes lives better. Good design is human-centred.

And I believe that anything can be designed. 

I have been evolving these beliefs in different organisations, in design agencies, as a freelancer, and in large corporate organisations, across different industries and in consumer and business to business environments. The one thing that has always remained constant is people. 

I believe that understanding people is the key to making improvements to what already exists, and identifying where opportunities lie to create what doesn't. I believe that understanding people helps make projects deliver faster and with better results.

JOSEPHMARK 2016 - NOW

I finished up 2016 by joining Josephmark as Digital Product Strategist on a contract basis. I'm looking forward to spending the next few months with this amazingly talented group of people!

Working in a global role in Vodafone's B2B headquarters, I led customer research, designed target state journeys and managed the implementation of them across 19 countries, and played a lead role in the ongoing customer centric mindset shift

Bureau^Proberts are a premier architecture firm in Brisbane. I learned a lot of design principles from the directors during my time there, while designing a number of furniture products for the firm

I thoroughly enjoy the university atmosphere, and have enormous respect for the teaching staff at the QUT design school. I helped as a tutorial lead for a number of design projects covering introductory, ergonomics, history, and game design subjects

I served as council member of the Queensland branch of the DIA, Australia's peak industry body for all design industries in Australia. My main role here was project managing a design exhibition in Brisbane's South Bank
